About us
We sit at the intersection of environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods and community empowerment.
Empowering communities to lead sustainable change.
Greenglobe Ghana is a community-driven non-profit organization committed to environmental conservation, sustainable development and rural empowerment across Ghana.
Originally established as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in 2002, Greenglobe Ghana was re-incorporated as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in 2005 under the Companies Code 1963 (Act 179) of Ghana.
For over two decades, the organization has worked alongside vulnerable and underserved communities, particularly women, youth and smallholder farmers, to address poverty, environmental degradation, climate vulnerability and social inequality through practical, community-led solutions.
Our work focuses on strengthening livelihoods, restoring ecosystems, promoting sustainable natural resource management and building the capacities of local communities through education, advocacy, training and environmental action.
Greenglobe Ghana implements programs in environmental conservation, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, community development, public health and livelihood empowerment to help communities build sustainable and resilient futures.
The organization collaborates with local and international partners to advance inclusive and sustainable development initiatives across Ghana.
Greenglobe Ghana is affiliated with and works in partnership with several environmental and development networks, including:
- International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI), Japan
